How to get an 03 number
Before we start, what are 03 numbers? 03 numbers (0300, 0330, 0333 etc.) are Ofcom-regulated, UK-based non-geographic numbers utilised specifically by charities, not-for-profit organisations and public sector bodies. Having said that, in recent times it does appear that obtaining an 03 number has been opened up and made available to companies outside of the above entities.
The benefits of using 03 numbers
Include that they cost the same as 01/02 landline calls, making them ideal for professional and business phones, and a much cheaper alternative to 0845 and 0870 numbers. And as 03 numbers are non-geographic they can remain as advertised, even if you relocate your office to a different city.
So how do you go about obtaining an 03 number?
You can simply contact us here at Spoke Technology. Then you will be able to select from a pool of available numbers and choose a call package that is appropriate for you.
Once you’ve selected a number you like, you can then point your number(s) to a mobile, landline or our virtual phone system, for a truly flexible communications solution.
Is an 03 number free in the UK?
Well whilst an 03 number is not generally free of charge, they can be included within our inclusive call bundles at no extra cost. If you do not require a calls package with us, then they are charged at the same rate as a local 01/02 numbers.
If you’re calling out, do take care to check your mobile and landline tariff to make sure that 0300 numbers are included in your package.
